Please Buy Certified HUMANE

Here’s MY list when buying eggs, in no particular order: Happy Eggs, Pete & Gerry’s, Vital Eggs, Handsome Brook Farm, NestFresh. There are some labels that you should ‘NOT’ trust and some labels you can. I hope I just made it a little easier for you. When my chickens aren’t laying due to weather these are the ones I buy. I care deeply for animals and I make a statement to evil factory farms by WHICH eggs I buy and by which eggs I DON’T buy.

Factory Farming Awareness

If you would like to know more about factory farming without the gore, check out this video in cartoon form. Please be part of the solution to factory farming. Please eat conscientiously. What a blessing to both your health and animals lives by doing so.

Every Life

I am busy today learning my script for upcoming presentations for the Factory Farm Awareness Coalition. In the meantime I want to post a very simple quote and photo. Please have a heart for ALL animals. They need us. Erase the dividing line and see them equally. We can live without eating, wearing or using them for testing. The results will be a healthy body and good conscience. Live a life of kindness.

Victory finally!

“Walmart, the largest seller of food in the United States, is going 100 percent cage-free with its egg supply. This all but guarantees a cage-free future for hens in the United States.”

Quoted by Wayne Pacelle, President & CEO  of the Humane Society of the United States.

Eyes Are Opening

There are more people than just me looking into the eyes of precious hens such as this one! I’ve been reading about company after company phasing out keeping egg laying hens in tight cramped cages! Companies like Panera Bread, Burger King, Food Lion, McDonalds, and on and on. They are and will be switching to cage free eggs within the next few years.

Note that cage free and free roaming is not what you’re imaging, but it’s at least a STEP in the right direction:
